Problems

This has got to be the worst dealership on the planet. The only good part was my salesman, Harrison. If it was not for him, I would have walked out. I should have went with my gut feeling. So we went ahead and bought the car even with the awful loan process. We got the one year free service. So my first service my girlfriend took the car in for service. They told her they were going to have a trainee work on the car. She said absolutely not even if I have to wait longer. They finish the service. She gets on the interstate, and the car is pulling like crazy. She immediately returns. They drive it and tell her they put almost 60 lbs of air in the right side tires. They also tell her the trainee worked on the car. She is furious. The tire could have blew and caused her to wreck. So she leaves. The very next day she is driving and the engine starts knocking. She pulls over and come to find out they left the drain plug loose. All the oil leaked out! They burn up a brand new engine. Now my brand new car has to have the engine overhauled. No telling what else they messed up putting the engine in. So if you are concerned about your safety or having your car messed up, do not use Franklin kia.

Awesome A+

I love the new atmospere of Franklin Kia since it has come under new ownership who has really ramped it up in every way that is positive. I noticed the difference immediately; after my lease end I was planning to go to a different dealership. Not anymore, I'm impressed with the cleanliness, the professional yet personable staff, and of course the snacks and beverages in the comfy lounge. I can't thank Blair and the finance guys Frank & Timothy for their honesty, and patience helping me navigate the end of my lease. I say patience as I needed to find out if I leased could I relocate out the country; they went far beyond what I could have expected. They helped me make a knowledgeable decision and I opted to buy out my lease; again, I can't rave enough at how helpful they were in making the process actually enjoyable. If I stay in Nashville I will be back to have Blair and the team at Franklin Kia help me get into a new car. I highly recommend Franklin Kia to anyone, especially if you are a single female; you will not be taken advantage and treated with intelligent respect. Thanks!

NEVER SHOP AT FRANKLIN KIA

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

NEVER SHOP AT FRANKLIN KIA Let me tell you what happened to my wife and I when we went to buy a used vehicle at Franklin Kia and after you hear it let me know if you wouldn't feel the same way. I want everybody to know about the worst car buying experience I've ever had at Franklin Kia.

To give it a little background we visited Franklin Kia back when it was run by the "Keeping It Awesome" manager, but we had a bad time when we looked at a car we must have been there for 4 hours before we just said forget about it and left. So then they finally came under New Management, we thought "well let's give him a shot", so we went in and the new manager was like "Oh No, we're not that same car dealership. We're super friendly, everything's great, if you buy a car here, even if it says "As-Is", we'll take care of you". So, we were looking at a used Kia Soul and it took us about 3 weeks of negotiating the price with the dealership, but we finally agreed on a price and the salesman said, come visit tonight and we'll sign the paperwork.

When we get there, the salesman has us take another test drive, just to make sure we still wanted the car. We said, let's buy it, but as we're in their waiting room giving them our Insurance paperwork and getting out the Checkbook, we noticed someone else taking a Test Drive in the car we said we were going to buy.

After a few minutes, the salesman comes back and says "Oh, I'm sorry, but the car has just been sold". I will NEVER go back to Franklin Kia.

This place is a rip off. They will tell the car is one price and then put a higher price on the paperwork. If you pay in cash they will try and wriggle out of giving you a proper receipt for the total. They will try to give you two receipts. What the heII? Dont buy a car here.

Franklin Kia - 2016 Kia Motors Soul Car Review from Clarksville, Tennessee

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I've had my Kia Soul now 4 months give or take. This car is a brand new car 8 Mike's on it when I drove it off the lot. First off unless you have $3,000 to put down stay away. If I would of known then what I know now I would of gone back to Gary Matthew's where I had bought ALL my Vechiles and guess what? Only need $1,000 down there. My payments kept changing but did finally come to an agreement on those (which still not happy with). We were told that the first oil change would be free. When I called they said unless your salesman is paying for it then there not free. Well, I'm an hour away so we took it some place local. Couple weeks having the car I did take back cause there was a vibration in the back tires. The guy looks at it and says yea they do that when they been sitting on the lot to long. REALLY?! I don't think so. Guess what? 3 months later that vibration is STILL there and they don't want to do nothing about it. I was also told after a year I could refinance and get my payments lowered? Not the case. Do yourself a favor go some place else.

RIGHT CAR WRONG PRICE.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I HAD A SIMILAR EXPERIENCE. THE DIFFERENCE BEING I ONLY WANTED TO LOOK AROUND.

I WAS SHOWN A FEW KIA'S TO TEST DRIVE; THE PRICE WAS AROUND 18,000 AND THAT WAS OK, HOWEVER I WANTED A BLUE COLOR AND A SUNROOF. I WAS READY TO LEAVE WHEN THE SALEPERSON JUST HAPPEN UPON A BLUE SOUL. SHE MENTIONED THE DIFFERENT THINGS ON THE CAR AND SAID SHE WOULD CHECK ON WHETHER THEY COULD PUT IN A SUNROOF. IN WALKS THE FINANCE GUY,(VERY SLICK AND SURE OF HIMSELF).

AFTER GETTING A ONCE OVER BY HIM; I WAS READY TO LEAVE AGAIN. I ARRIVED AT 11:30 AND WAS KEPT THERE UNTIL 5PM. I LATER FOUND OUT THIS KIA WAS 8,000 MORE. I WAS NEITHER OFFERED A DRINK OF WATER WHILE WAITING.

I ASKED FOR MY KEYS TO GET SOMETHING OUT OF MY CAR AND TRIED TO SLIP AWAY, 2 OTHER SALESMANS SHOWED UP AND SURROUNDED THE CAR, I FOLLOWED THE SALESPERSON BACK INSIDE ONLY TO BE ASKED TO WAIT A LITTLE LONGER,;THEN ONE OF THE OWNER-MAGR. CAME IN TO SWEETEN THE OFFER AND LOWER THE INT. RATE I EVENTUALLY SIGNED THE CONTRACT. TWO MAJOR THINGS I FEEL BAD ABOUT IS 1.

NOT BEING TOLD THE PRICE OF THE CAR WAS HIGHER THAN THE ONE I PICKED AND 2. BEING STRONGARMED, BY THEFINANCE PERSON.

I WAS NOT ALLOWED TO LEAVE WHEN I WANTED TO AND I WAS LURED BY THE LEASE PAYMENTS OF 99.00 AMONTH BUT NOT ALLOWED TO LEASE, BECAUSE I WANTED A SUNROOF. I WOULD ADVISSED ANYONE INTERESTED IN BUYING A KIA TO NOT GO THERE.

I was robbed

I bought a car there and when I got home I found it on line for $4000 cheaper, so I went back and they offered me the price on line. The sales person acted like I was trash and said for what I was willing to pay a month I should not be shopping for a new car. Then, I got ready to take it in for service, thinking the $1300 I paid for extended warranty was for 4 years, which is what they told me, and I looked at my contract and it does day 48 months or 55,000 miles. I had $41,350 when I bought it. So I paid $1300 for $13000 miles. What a crock of ***. I have already made two complaints against them with the Better Business Bureau and the Consumer Affairs people. I will never buy anything there again and I certainly would not recommend any one else buy anything there, either!

Lousy salescrook!

call the dealership in Franklin Tennessee a week and a half ago and was told the application would be emailed to me, I have never received it. Call back just 5 minutes ago and was connected with Tracy, who, while he was speaking with me on the phone begin to talk to someone else at the dealership asking them, 'Are your folks coming back?', then asking me to hold on... Say what?!?! they lost a customer with an excellent trade in and money in hand. I have owned 3 Kia's, all purchased from car town Kia in Nicholasville Kentucky, just outside Lexington. They delivered my Sedona to me last year, all the way to Georgia at no cost to myself! now that I didn't Nashville I thought I would make it more convenient for myself and for the dealership, but there is no way. I will be doing my business with Car Town Kia in Lexington Kentucky. I highly recommend them. Way to go, Tracy!

Carnival Kia doesn't honor their word. Liars ??

I went to University Kia in Huntsville. They offered me a deal. I decided to see if Carnival Kia could beat this deal. They said they couldn't but could match it. The next day we decided to to accept their offer. We called and told them to have the papers ready. When we arrived they had increased the price by more than $2,000.00. We feel they had just tried to sucker us into a deal that we did not agree to. They did nothing but waste our time and theirs also.We were willing to buy a Kia but now this has changed our view of Carnival Kia all together. .

The Franklin Kia is a real joke. If you looking for a vehicle don't go there. They will send you home with the vehicle knowing its not financed. They will also have you keep coming back signing new contracts over and over again.

Lied about Trim of Truck

was sold a Cheverolet Silverado LS It had 28k on the odometer. A week after I purchased the vehicle, the transmission was slipping. I called the dealer and was told to bring it in and trade it out no hassle. When I got there I was informed that I would have to go through the entire lengthy process all over again. I was denied because "collateral not worth amount to be borrowed" by several banks. Then the problem was pawned off on the Chevy dealer. After three weeks of leaving messages, finally one day Jim, the manager Mike Trevino said is the one that told me he would swap out the truck hassle free for something in better condition. Needless to say, I have been trying to trade out of this piece of *** for weeks and of course since it is not an "LS" as implied no one will give me even a fraction of what I owed, and I put 1500 trade down! I have purchased over 20 vehicles from other dealerships and NEVER been treated so poorly or decieved so much. When the "manager" finally called me back, he wouldn't allow me to speak. He referred to me as "dude" numerous times and finally I couldn't take it anymore so I hung up on him. I even spoke with the district manager who was quick to defend the sale and accused ME of putting the emblem on the truck. I have never been so insulted. The ONLY person at this place that seems to care about making the customer happy is Mike Trevio and apparently he doesn't have the authority he deserves.

They sold the minivan that I was getting financed for

I recently put in a search for a good uses minivan, loaded, with low miles, Carnival Kia, replyed with 1 salesman, and I called him back, telling him that I was coming to look at the van, well I was put with another salesman, who was very polite at first, but when he reliazed how nice the van was, he stated he had some customers that would like it also. We asked for a P.O.; to give to my bank, and told them that I would be intouch Monay, to purchase the van, so I did what I said I wuld do, went to the bank, called them to fax p.o., waited, no fax came. so I called them back, come to find out they sold it . I was really ***, I had heard other complaints about Carnival Kia, but thought I would give them a chance. I replyed to the salesman, that what I had heard about them was true, it was confermed, Carnival Kia are shaddy, crooks, Please beware...................

I was lied to by Carnivel kia Rivergate first then went to hickory hollow the next day around 3 pm.After three hours of negotiations with a sales crook that claimed to be a preacher and would speak the truth only we came to an agreement. We shook hands and they collected the down payment I was told to return at 9 am to take delivery. I returned the next morning at 9 am and the sales crook met me in the lot and said we have a problem.I replied, a 805 credit score and down payment already recieved what is the problem. Well he said we sold your car to another customer last night.I'm sure it was for more money .He started to apoligize and ask what they could do.I replied replace it. he said sorry, go get your down back and get off the lot we have no offer to make it right. DONT BUY FROM KIA IN FRANKLIN,TN

I WENT TO KIA DEALER SHIP IN FRANKLIN,TN TO LOOK AT THE NEW 2012 OPTIMA. MY SALEMAN WAS SKIP, HE WAS VERY NICE, BUT I HAD A HORRABLE EXPERENCE I WOULD NEVER BUY ANOTHER CAR FROM KIA... DONT BELIEVE THE TV ADDS $ 199 DOWN AND PAYMENT OF $199 A MONTH ITS ALL LIES... AFTER SIGNING A CONTRACT IN MAY I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THE CAR WAS MINE, UNTIL MY TAGS RAN OUT AND I HAD TO CALL TIM BELONCO TO SEE WHERE MY TAGS WERE AT HE THEN EXPLAINED THAT I WAS NOT FINANCED DUE TO THE FACT THEY FORGOT TO TURN IN ALL MY PAPER WORK TO THE FINANCE COMPANY AND THAT THE ORGINAL CONTRACT HAD EXPIRED. TIM SENT ME ANOTHER DRIVE OUT TAG THE NEXT DAY AND STATED I WOULD BE ASK TO COME BACK IN AND RESIGN ANOTHER CONTRACT BECAUSE THE FIRST ONE WAS VOIDED.. AFTER THREE MONTHS OF DRIVING THE CAR I FINALLY WENT IN TO RESIGN A CONTRACT. THEY HAD WENT UP IN A PAYMENT THAT WAS TO MUCH TO TELL ABOUT "AROUND" $700.00 A MONTH! AND INCREASED MY FINANCE RATE ALMOST TRIPLE.. THATS CRAZY.. OH AND BY THE WAY I HAD PUT A DOWN PAYMENT OF $2000.00 DOWN AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD HOLD FOR 1MONTH AND THEY TRIED TO RUN IT THROUGH MY BANK EARLY CAUSEING MORE FEE'S.. BUT I WILL SAY PLEASE READ WHAT YOU ARE SIGNING BEFORE YOU BUY IT.. THE CONTRACT PAPERWORK STATES" IF YOU WERE NOT TO GET FINANCED YOU WILL RESONABLE FOR ANY MILES OR OTHER REPAIRS AND YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR DOWN PAYMENT/TRADE IN BACK YOU WILL BE BILLED $.45 FOR EVERY MILE THAT WAS PUT ON A NEW CAR.. THINGS THE BUYER SHOULD KNOW BEFORE SIGNING A CONTRACT.. WHEN YOU SIGN A CONTRACT AND DRIVE AWAY IN A NEW CAR YOU THINK THINGS ARE FINAL BUT THAT MAY NOT BE SO I'M A FINE EXAMPLE OF THAT... SO BUYERS JUST THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE SIGNING BEFORE YOU SIGN...

Terrible they don't honor their commitments all they care about is selling you a car after they are nothing to them! If a company does not care about keeping their customers then you should never be a customer there....

Guest

sounds like your credit sucks, and they did you a favor and got the car financed miraculously for you. TV adds were for lease, which you obviously cannot qualify for with a payment like that (assuming you got the base model, and if you got a loaded one, of course its not going to be $199/month, common sense). Here's a brilliant idea, if they say the paperwork is not completed but allow you to take the car, and you don't have the necessary paperwork, politely turn them down, and come back the next day with what you need, especially if your credit sucks.

Carnival kia is full of clowns

while shopping for a used car, I went on line and contacted carnival kia about a used car they had online. The 1st thing the next morning they contacted me by phone, asking me to come on out to check it out. When I got there they told me that it had not really been checked out to sell. After they showed me some other cars that were for sell, that were, so, not what i had in mind, I ask again why I could not see the car I viewed on line. Well, suprize! It is avaliable! How much I ask... We test drove the car. I explained that I had been approved another dealership for a car that was similar and like the car he had also. The young saleman, ask me what kind of deal they were giving me. I told him and he said, what if we can get to that price. I aggread to let him do the figures. After being approved and shown payment plans, I wanted to talk about the price of the car. I know that you do not go in and just pay the asking price on a used car that just got on the lot with no warrenty. After being ask by the finance manager"what is the problem" the monthly payments? They are not much! I was in shock! To find out that they had not gotten the car loan approved and were just baiting me. I then went to the other dealership to see what they had to say about it. They tried to sell me a new one for the same price, only after I went to settle the deal, money in my pocket to close the deal, that they needed More money to do the deal. I once again walked out when I realized I was being played. They even ran out the door to my car, asking me if I would be interested in a shaved down model. Man, bait and switch at best. The little man that says see me 1st, should spend some time in his stores, instead of putting a life size cut out in his stores. How about a punching bag instead. If I hear" you got a job and 149$ come see me. Well I guess that is all you would get is to see his little short lifesize cut out in his showroom. He is no where to be seen! I now know why it is Carnival Kia, Lots of clowns there! Careful shopping for cars ! These guys are real sharks! Buyer beware ! They are ready to pray on people with credit issues! Not help them!

Carnival Kia Nashville is a rip off!

Went to get a car at Carnival KIA in Nashville (Hickory Hollow) was shown a car told that despite the hook of "$149.00 and a job and I can sell you any car" Was told that I would have to put down 1000.00 which I was willing to do. Took the car for a test drive was told by the ancient car salesman that he was going to finalize the paper work and would be back with the keys, then came back and said "we changed our minds." Then refused to sell me the car unless I put down 3500 and paid over 500.00 a month as a payment, but told me my credit wasn't "that bad" but gave me no explanation as to why. I left tried to contact the owner (Chris Bostick) and he never responded. Contacted BBB and nothing..They treated me like *** and never offered an explanation.

Work to repair your credit rating first before blaming others who are reluctant to loan you money. Your past credit history will always inhibit you from getting the best deal (and treatment) from a business. Get a second job if you have too but pay your past debts and repair your credit score and then you will find that you will be treated respectfully in all business transactions.
